A contemporary green glass art wave handcrafted in the Lake District; inspired by the natural landscape of Grizedale Forest in spring.
The freestanding ornamental wave was handmade from transparent leaf green glass, iridescent light green glass, opalescent moss green glass blended with dark green aventurine glass and crushed clear glass. The iridescent glass has a metallic lustre.
It is approximately 12 cm (H) x 23 cm (L) x 3 cm (D).
The textured nature of the clear glass adds additional visual (and tactile) interest.
It is a stand-alone piece of glass art that is suitable for display on any flat surface, such as a mantlepiece, living room bookshelf, coffee table or hallway console table.
The wave looks particularly stunning placed in front of a window or other direct light source, as the translucent nature of the wave allows light to shine through and reflect colour onto the surrounding surfaces.
It could be used as an unusual dining room table centrepiece.
It could also be used in the evening as a table or shelf decoration with a series of tea-lights behind it (or placed on top when laid flat).
PACKAGING: All items will be securely wrapped in bubble wrap and posted in a well padded box. Although not always feasible, whenever possible, I attempt to reuse packaging in order to reduce the environmental impact.
