A contemporary teal and turquoise glass art ornament handcrafted in the Lake District; inspired by the natural landscape.
The freestanding wave was handmade from transparent teal, iridescent light turquoise, dark turquoise and crystal clear artisan glass. The teal glass is a blue-green colour, similar to that of a peacock feather. The iridescent light turquoise glass has a metallic shimmer.
It is approximately 23 cm (L) x 8. 5 cm (H) x 3 cm (D).
The textured nature of the clear glass adds additional visual (and tactile) interest.
It is a stand-alone piece of glass art suitable for display on any flat surface.
It looks particularly stunning placed in front of a window or other direct light source, as the translucent nature of the wave allows light to shine through and reflect colour onto the surrounding surfaces.
It could be used in the evening as a table or shelf decoration with a tealight or small votive candle placed behind it.
PACKAGING: All items will be securely wrapped in bubble wrap and posted in a well padded box. Although not always feasible, whenever possible, I attempt to reuse packaging in order to reduce the environmental impact.
