Add a splash of colour to your window (or wall) with this unique wish stick handcrafted in the Lake District.
The large wish stick (suncatcher) was made from transparent turquoise, aqua and crystal clear artisan glass using the trencadÃs technique – inspired by the work and philosophy of Gaudi.
The coloured glass was placed on a clear artisan base and a copper wire ring was inserted between the top layers. Once the wish stick was assembled, it was placed in the kiln and subjected to a contour fuse (the individual pieces fused together but have still retained some of their original shape and texture.
It is approximately 31cm in length including the copper ring (*the glass panel measures ~ 29.5 cm in length excluding the copper ring) with a width of 7- 9 cm.
Although designed to hang in the window, it can also be hung on the wall.
Follow the tradition started in 1926 by a small Mill boy – hang the suncatcher and make a wish as it catches the light.
PACKAGING: All items will be securely wrapped in bubble wrap and posted in a well padded box. Although not always feasible, whenever possible, I attempt to reuse packaging in order to reduce the environmental impact.
