A practical green artisan glass dish, reminiscent of the colours of Grizedale Forest in spring. The colour ranges from a pale moss hue to a deep, dark green.
The dish is approximately 15.7 cm (L) x 10.5 cm (W), with a depth of about 2 cm.
It is astand-alone piece of glass art suitable for display on any flat surface.
It could be used as a coffee table trinket dish, large soap tray, trinket dish or key bowl.
***Soap and other accessories not included; for display purposes only.
A little more about THE HANDCRAFTED PROCESS: The colour was achieved by fusing several layers of dark green transparent artisan glass powder into a sheet of pale moss green opalescent glass. This glass was hand cut to size and placed on top of a piece of crystal clear sheet glass cut to the same size. The prepared dish was then fired in the kiln over a 24 hour period. (***The glass was gradually heated up to just over 800 degrees Celsius, then cooled down very slowly to ensure that it annealed fully. This enabled the glass to strengthen and ensured its durability). The dish was then placed on top of a ceramic mould and fired in the kiln once more, in order to shape the piece.
PACKAGING: All items will be securely wrapped in bubble wrap and posted in a well padded box. Although not always feasible, whenever possible, I attempt to reuse packaging in order to reduce the environmental impact.
